Podcasts: We're All Ears!

A black, brown, and white goat looking at the camera with ears perked.

Getting into heritage breeds can be quite a trip, and there are so many different ways to learn about them. It's a good time to ask yourself how you learned about Arapawa Island goats! Did you already own heritage breeds of another species and wanted to expand into it with goat owning? Did you see them at a local farm or zoo? Perhaps you came across them online while researching other breeds and they stole your heart? Or maybe your heard about them from a friend?

However you got into them, surely sharing more about them is one of the most exciting things to do. Plus, it's the best way to keep this breed alive - awareness and education.

Our President, Emily Nyman, got to join Deborah Niemann on a Podcast all about our beloved Arapawa Island Goats earlier in March, and got to share some fantastic information that's accessible to goat owners worldwide. She speaks about their history, our association, some of the perks of our breed, and so much more!

This opportunity can do wonders, because like said: awareness and education will keep this breed alive and thriving.

If you'd like to give the podcast a listen, you can check it out on The Thrifty Homesteader (Arapawa Goats: Discovering the Charms of this Rare Breed) or just about any podcast platform.

Thank you, Emily, for your contribution to the breed, and we hope to hear more in the future!
